 Saffron Bread (in breadmaker)
1 ½ cups water
1 ½ Tbsp sugar
1 ½ tsp salt
4 cups high grade flour
4 tsp yeast
Saffron infusion

Infuse (crush & soak) a pinch of saffron threads (about 10-12 strands) of Terraza Saffron infused in 1Tbsp warm water for 15-20 mins. 
Add infusion to rest of water used for baking bread.
Add ingred. and bake bread as normal. 

 

Simple Terraza Saffron Cake
175 grams butter
3 eggs
175 grams castor sugar
175 grams self raising flour
10-12 strands of Terraza Saffron infused in 1Tbsp warm water for 15-20 mins

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs then saffron infusion.
Mix in flour.
Spoon mixture into a greased loaf tin and bake in a moderate oven approx 30 mins

Optional:  you may add ½ tsp vanilla essence OR lemon zest when saffron is added if desired.

 

Terraza Saffron Lemonade

2 cups water
500g sugar
1 dessertspoon citric acid
Juice of 8 lemons
Rind of 3 lemons
8-10 Terraza Saffron Threads

Boil 2 cups of water with sugar. When dissolved add citric acid & lemon juice and stir When cool, add 8 -10 threads of crushed or powdered saffron, but wait until it has cooled or you will lose some of the wonderful oils it contains and dilute the flavour. Once liquid is cold, bottle it and refrigerate for use as a cordial. Add water to desired taste (suggest 1part lemonade to 4 parts water).
